CVVICS Mission Statement
Coachella Valley Visually Impaired Community Services will seek to provide blind and visually impaired individuals with a comprehensive range of participative services and interactive activities to improve and enrich their lives and life experiences. These services and activities will include education, art, music, social interaction and others as needed.
CVVICS is run BY the community FOR the community
How We Got Started
CVVICS was founded in November 2019 and received their 501c(3) non-profit status one month later. Their first classes were offered at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert, CA at the start of 2020. For now, CVVICS offers the visually impaired community in the Coachella Valley classes in basket weaving, current events, chair exercises and games of the mind. More classes and activities will be added as the organization continues its growth.
