CVVICS Mission Statement

Coachella Valley Visually Impaired Community Services seeks to provide blind and visually impaired individuals with a comprehensive range of participative services and interactive activities to improve and enrich their lives and life experiences. These services and activities will include education, art, music, social interaction, and others as needed.

CVVICS is run BY the community FOR the community

How We Got Started

CVVICS was founded in November 2019 and received its 501c(3) non-profit status one month later. Our first classes were offered at the Joslyn Center in Palm Desert, CA at the start of 2020. For now, CVVICS offers the visually impaired community in the Coachella Valley teleconference classes as well as in person activities. More classes and activities will be added as the organization continues its growth.
